Welcome to the 10,000m Challenge!
The international meeting will take place 15th of February in Rishon Lezion!
The 10,000m Challenge is World Athletics D Class

Elite endurance athletes will be able to target fast 10,000m race following an announcement that the 2024 10,000m Challenge will be staged in Rishon Lezion on Thursday 15 February to give runners the best chances to achieve qualification for European Championship and Olympic Games in Summer 2024.

Date & Time

15/2/2024, with perfect typical Israeli weather the races will be set for 21:00 which will be optimal conditions for the race in the Israeli winter.

Venue

The Athletics Stadium in Rishon Lezion will host the challenge.

Accommodations

IAA which organizes the event will provide transportation from the airport to hotel and from the hotel to the stadium for all international guests that will be invited. Also 2 nights with full board (on Double base rooms) will be provided (14-15/2/24) by the federation so athletes will need to take care about flights and insurance only.

Pacers and Time's Target

IAA will arrange for 1-2 pacers to run on pace for new national record (current 27:33.99) and 2nd group will go after the European Championship standard (28:20.00) so there is a good opportunity to set personal bests and records in this event.
The Challenge will be class D in terms of World Athletics ranking
